Meet the Owner

The owner of Cloved in Ivy, Ivory Twyman, was born and raised in the heart of Washington, DC.  Even as a little girl, Ivory had visions of becoming the "next big thing" in the fashion industry.  She has always had a "Passion for Fashion" and as a high school teenager, she was continually sought after by her many acquaintances to help them "dress like her", thereby the name "Cloved in Ivy" was inspired.  As a result of her idealistic dress like no one, be different, standout attitude regarding her fashion sense, she received the coveted title of "Best Dressed Female" during her senior year in high school, an honor that inspired her to major in Business with a concentration in Merchandising when she went away to college.  She realized that with her innate sense of style and her educational training in business and marketing that she could truly become her generation's most sought after "Fashion Icon".  After college, Ivory further honed her skills and expertise in fashion by becoming employed and mentored by fashion managers and buyers at such prestigious stores as ; Bebe, Sisley, United Colors of Benetton, Arden B, and Ann Taylor. During her time spent at these companies, Ivory became a professional wardrobe stylist, achieving looks for many of the clients that frequented these stores and creating classic looks for them that they often confessed to her that they would have never been able to achieve on their own or even imagined would look so fantastic on them.  As we fast forward to today, Ivory has made the decision to allow her passion to soar to another level and becoming what she has always dreamed of being:  Ivory's favorite mantra is:  " Fashion isn't something you create, it's something you are born with". With her drive and ambition, the opening of Cloved in Ivy, is her dream come to reality and will most assuredly allow women that shop at this designer boutique to leave each and every time as the most satisfied clients in the industry. Welcome to CLOVED IN IVY.
